Scuttlebutt brewing company t shirts8/26/2023 ![]() ![]() She is awesome, but she can’t really handle long walks or mountain hikes anymore. I finally decided to make a map of breweries where I can bring Kiki, my senior mutt (circa 2000). There are many, many pet friendly breweries out there, but I had trouble finding a comprehensive list of dog-friendly breweries. She loves the attention, and people are very respectful to her. Since we need to keep our senior mutt Kiki active (but not too active), bringing her to the brewery is perfect for all of us. My husband Scott and I love going to breweries, and I ♥ love♥ seeing dogs at breweries. I feel that if we can clean up the statutes in section 22 of the CT state laws, it will help a brewery label themselves dog friendly or not, without worry of reprimand.Īnd then I’m going to have the best list ever. It’s frustrating to be in limbo, and it’s hard to predict how a law (or lack of one) will be interpreted from place to place. This year I plan to try and fix the laws that make a simple yes or no so scary. That kills me inside, so I want to change it. There’s a bunch of gaps, but nothing that would make me feel safe as a business owner to allow them. But CT does not have laws that state a dog can be inside a brewery. It’s hard to answer the question: If I had a brewery, would I allow dogs? It pains me to say no, or only outside in a separate zone (space permitting). It’s the most current I can find, and there is a very good following there to help with the upkeep. I am part of a private FB group called New England Brew Dogs on Facebook for a good, dog-friendly brewery list. I want to respect breweries, but that makes complete data very difficult. I realize that there are laws and loopholes that make saying yes or no with a straight face, sans-wink is a tough thing to do.
